Catch up

Well, its been a HUGE couple months.. Me and Family packed up out stuff in SA and moved to Hong Kong, we've joined City Church Iternational led by Rob Rufus and released our Debut Album "Colours for a Canvas - Wide Open Spaces"..

We've always had a huge desire to travel and experience another nation and culture.. Its been just that so far, a great and huge experience! We have settled into a little house in a village called Sha Kok Mei.. Its quiet and quaint and nestled at the foot of a mountain along the seaside area called Sai Kung. Its surrounded by loads of little Islands to explore, sporting facilities, resturaunts and its super safe ...its not what we expected, we thought everything was just buildings and lights.. so thats been a real treat for us. We're excited about what God is doing here in us and through us, we've learnt so much and its only been 5 months!

Anyways, we are all set up with our Home recording studio and are looking forwards to getting our Debut Album out there to as far as we can get it and writing and recording some new songs! The last album was a couple years in the making and we poured alot into it.. we hope to release another within the year, feeling a new vision and direction..we just need to document it now.

Hope this encourages your faith!

The authentic message of the gospel of grace is largely absent in the religious climate of the church world today. The gospel of grace is the proclamation that our God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit have come down to this world, dealt with sin once and for all and have reconciled us back to God. Sin has been dealt with and has been forgiven! That is the truth of the gospel! Our privilege is to proclaim that reality to the world and encourage them to simply believe it so that the objective reality of the finished work of Christ becomes a subjective reality in their own experience.
(Steve Mcvey)

If we believe in what Jesus has done we are set free from Sin and Religion! We don’t need to earn points for our father to love us. He has done everything, the thinking that cripples believers “God expects something” is a WRONG mindset that can just leave you, well... crippled!!!, because, think about it, even if you could give something how would it match up to what He has given you.. ?

When I say believers I mean those who are 1. powering in the Grace of God and also 2. those struggling under guilt and condemnation, people who love Jesus but are crippled at even the thought of attempting to jump through the hoops that Religions often set up for you. What I mean by religion is something that puts people into bondage and causes them to feel condemnation for not measuring up.

Often believers who experience “Religion in its full force” walk away from the Church/Community of believers thinking they have walked away from the Fathers love and acceptance... That isn’t the case!!! Some stay in that place and toil long and hard trying to "maintain" this love and relationship. If we believe in Jesus we can never be seperated from His love

Romans 8:38-39 proves this to us:
38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things yet to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Its true that what we believe about God we will manifest... For instance If we believe:
1. That we are separated from our fathers love because of Sin
2. That He is angry with us and that we need to earn and gain that trust again from Him
3. That He is only faithful to us when we are faithful to Him.

IF we Believe these things what are we going to Manifest? (side note... Manifest meaning: to make something evident by showing or demonstrating it very clearly)

Answer: You will live in confusion about the Love of God and the root of unbelief which is condemnation.

If you believe in Jesus Christ and All he has DONE, you can appropriate the promises of the New Covenant to your life and are now a Son and Daughter of the Most high. I don’t care what you think the problem is, you just need to start believing right.

Read these scriptures and believe them for yourself as a Believer and individual loved by the Father!

I am free forever from condemnation (Rom. 8:1)
I have been justified completely forgiven and made righteous (Rom. 5:1)
I died with Christ and died to the power of sin's rule over my life (Rom. 6:1,6)
I have been bought with a price I am not my own; I belong to God (I Cor. 6:19,20)
I have been made righteous (2 Cor. 5:21)
I have been redeemed and forgiven, and I am a recipient of His lavish grace.
I have been made alive together with Christ (Eph. 2:5)
I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins. The debt against me has been canceled (Col. 1:14)
I am firmly rooted in Christ and am now being built in Him (Col. 2:7)
I have been made complete in Christ (Col. 2:10)
I have the right to come boldly before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in time of need (Heb. 4:16)
I have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by God by which I am a partaker of God's divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4)

It doesn’t take FAITH to proclaim “Im a sinner” We knew it/know it.. It takes FAITH to confess these above mentioned scriptures and believe them for yourself!!!

Steve Mcvey Article

THought you may like this...

When You're Afraid About A Decision You Have To Make

“Please pray for us that we will know the right decision to make,” Larry asked the small group who met in his home. “We believe that taking the job I’ve been offered in Dallas is the right thing, but we want to make doubly sure we aren’t missing God’s will. You know how deceptive the devil can be. I don’t want to be misled by him. The way he deceives us sometimes is so insidious. I don’t want to be fooled. We know he is cunning and we really want to hear from God on this situation.”

As Larry talked, it began to sound like this time had been set aside to honor Satan himself. More was said about the devil’s ability to mislead us than was said about anything else. Of course, there is no doubt that Larry’s sincere desire was to know and do God’s will, but listening to the way he talked, you’d think that the ability of the enemy to deceive us is greater than God’s ability to keep us in His will.

Larry isn’t different from many Christians today who live a life filled with fear that they’re going to do the wrong thing. They tip toe through this world like a scared little girl in a haunted house. I meet them all the time. They say, “Steve, pray for me. Pray that I won’t miss the will of God.” Or, “Satan is so powerful and so deceptive. Pray for me. I don’t want to miss the will of God.” Or, “I want to stay in the center of God’s perfect will. I can be deceived and can make a mess of my life if I go out there apart from God’s will.” They go on and on about the ability of the enemy to deceive them. They’re so scared that they’re going to miss God’s will, that when they do make decisions, they’re always timid and tentative and unsure.

When it comes to making decisions regarding God’s will, many seem to abandon faith altogether. Instead, they express great fear that they’re going to miss it. Their fear so handicaps them, that they sometimes do practically nothing of any real spiritual significance. They’d rather do nothing than take the risk of making a mistake.

Don’t be paralyzed by analysis paralysis. Don’t come to the place of no further progress in your grace walk because of your fear you might make a wrong choice. Do you want to know and do God’s will? Then trust Jesus Christ. Appropriate Jesus Christ as your life, and then … decide! And move forward in faith — not in apprehension and fear, but in faith — saying, “Lord God, thank you that you are my life, and I will trust you to live through me.”

Make your decisions on faith, not fear, and rush into them with confidence that Jesus will enable you to

Taste and See

We need to taste the Goodness of God, we can’t just stop at satisfying ourselves intellectually, there is so much more he wants to show us...I think the main thing being that HE IS ALWAYS WITH US, singing over us, telling us He loves us, Not counting our sins against us, Always encouraging us… Oh Man, being In his presence enforces those truths in to who you are.. We just need to believe!

Take a Read of an Article I came across by Bill Johnson:

BEHOLDING THE PRESENCE

"I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. My heart also instructs me in night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Psalm 16:7-8, 11

"For David says concerning Him, 'I foresaw the Lord always before my face.'"
Acts 2:25

David is saying, "I set the Lord before me." How did David do this? He set the Lord before him by recognizing His presence. We can do the same as we learn to adjust our hearts until we realize, "He's here." The ongoing realization of the presence of the Lord—the awareness of God being in us, upon us, and with us—is one of the most vital elements to the Christian life.

David became the great leader over Israel by leading them into prosperity, blessing and their greatest military victories. They finally received all the land that was promised to them, all those years from Joshua onward. David came and brought them into their inheritance. David was a great leader because he was the greatest of worshippers and the greatest of warriors. David wasn't even a Levite, but he was the ultimate priest. I believe he was so effective because of this principle. I have sought to pursue this principle every day in my own life. I set God before me by becoming aware of the presence of the Lord who is with me.

Our confidence levels skyrocket when the presence of the Lord becomes manifested to us. The clearer the manifestation of His presence, the greater the dimension of faith. To live by the theory of His presence is wrong. To say, "Well, I know He's always with me" is not good enough. That truth must launch us into an experience, or we're violating the truth. Truth is given as an invitation for divine encounter so that we would know by experience that God is upon us and God is with us.

David's entire life as a warrior and a priest was focused on this one thing: to daily take time before Him until we can see Him. Since we can't imagine a place where He isn't, we might as well imagine Him with us. The imagination is a tool that God uses to express Himself in and through us. The imagination is to be harnessed and yielded to the Lord so that in the process of yielding it becomes sanctified, and the sanctified imagination is positioned to perceive Him. The Bible goes so far as to say, "Having our senses trained to discern good and evil." Through this process of training our senses, we become able to recognize the presence of the Lord. David gives us this key, the absolute heartbeat of his life, as if he is telling us, "This is how I made it. Every day I beheld Him with me."

I feel that David's experience is a summons to the same privilege and responsibility to turn our awareness towards His presence, and in doing so, we invite the increase of that manifestation. As a result, when we behold the Lord, we have far greater success and far greater joy by ministering not out of principles but out of His presence.

From Glory to Glory

I went to a service of Bennjamin and his wife Stephanie at Northway Church (Durban North) and was completely blown away by them.. it was an awesome time of just freedom in the presence of God, no holding back, no pre concieved ideas of what was going to happen.. but it was a glorious time...was left with this thought, If Moses experienced Glory under the Old Covenant to a point where he had to cover His face, Imagine how much more we can see it under the New Covenant being able to enter boldly the throne room of God and sit at His feet..From Glory to Glory! The Gospel is Good news about a Good God, if He did not hold back His very own son surely he will not hold back every aspect of His kingdom...I cant imagine He would give us life through His son and then Hold back every other wonder & blessing of being His Son/Daughter.

Take a read of one of his articles from his website www.joyrevolution.com :

The Happy Gospel

In 1 Timothy 1:11 in the Rotherham translation we see what the Gospel really consists of:
... according to the glad-message of the glory, of the happy God.
Yes, the message is one of extreme gladness and God is an extremely happy God!

The focus of the Happy Message, which we call the Gospel, is and will always be; the Nature of God and the nature of what He has accomplished for humanity through His Son Jesus the Christ.

This message to humanity is infinitely blissful and glad, for in it we find the cure for fallen mankind. The Gospel itself is the drink every heart longs for. It lifts man from his wretched, sinful state into the limitless heights of happiness and holiness found only in salvation.

The Good-News is centered in God’s son, and tells of a new existence given graciously to all who believe and trust in it’s power.

There are many non-gospels as the message bible puts it, in Galations chapter 1, that pretend to be Gods message but none of these can or will have the same effect as the True Gospel does upon the heart of the believer. None can produce the heart satisfaction and endless peace that only the true Good- News can procure.

When this message is declared it does not leave a man feeling unworthy and pitiful. In fact, when preached, the glorious Gospel leaves man with the realization that there was an infinite cost paid to make him worthy. It opens a door to a new reality. It leaves us with beauty in trade for ashes. Tears are turned into wine and the sound of rejoicing is heard instead of the sound of weeping.

The Gospel leads men to repentance not because of the fear of eternal punishment, but because of the promise of eternal bliss! It is the goodness of God, the divine pleasure, which leads man to repentance.

In the Gospel we see the greatest gift given to the universe, sent not to condemn but to save. Sent to save the human race from a lifeless existence separated from God. To save from sin and its sting in this life!

The Gospel is the declaration of freedom from all sin, sickness, disease, depression and death and it is the voice of the Lord that speaks to the darkness and turns it into light.
To know the Gospel as anything less than this is tragic. Unless it is known and drunk down in its entirety, its benefits will never be realized.

Next time someone preaches to you "the gospel" check your joy meters; because only the true Glad-Message of Christ's' finished work on the cross the can tip the scales!

Much love
